La editorial 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming, que desde hace unos meses alborotó a los aficionados con dos grandes aportaciones, The Book of Arcane Magic y The Book of Divine Magic, habrá llegado a esa conclusión al plantear la próxima publicación de Strategists and Tacticians – The Definitive Guide to Clever Warfare, escrito por Ryan Costello Jr, conocido por sus podcasts en la web 3.5 Private Sanctuary.
Este manual ofrecerá más de 50 nuevas dotes, una docena de clases de prestigio inéditas y nuevos conjuros. Además, se introducirá un sistema para cercenar miembros y reglas alternativas para los estrangulamientos.

En el proyecto, además de Costello, están involucrados los ilustradores Alan Cooper y Kate Bradley, Hugo Solís como director artístico, y el escritor Clinton Boomer.

El libro tiene proyectadas 96 páginas, y su lanzamiento está previsto para marzo o abril de 2010.

Son algo más de 300 rituales, e incluso los hay para las clases de personaje publicadas en el Player's Handbook 2, el bardo y el druida.
Las entradas están muy bien clasificadas (el editor ofrece en su sitio web las veinte páginas de índices y tablas de categorías), por orden alfabético, por nivel y por categoría.
El libro se ofrece como la narración de un general hobgoblin, Azagar, quien detalla, en un peculiar estilo, las características de la ingente cantidad de rituales.

Quizás uno de los detalles curiosos de este libro sea la convocatoria que, allá por verano, lanzó Goodman Games para que todo el que así lo quisiera enviara sus rituales a la empresa, y optar a la publicación de su trabajo. Fruto de ello es la larga lista de colaboradores que verán su creación incluida en esta obra.

Azagar's Book of Rituals estará disponible muy prontito, tanto en formato impreso como digital, a un precio de 15 $.
