  • Time for #dnd to start rolling now that our last player is here! I'll put the #dnd before the tweet so you can skip it if you're not into it
  • #dnd It's the 1st year of a proper Brightblade celebration since the War, & the city folk seem excited to throw themselves into festivities.
  • #dnd The party's employer, Kava Velderan of House Tharashk, has given them the day off to participate in the celebrations.
  • #dnd "Just be careful with the gambling," she says. "We pay your housing, but we're not going to feed you if you lose your wages."
  • #dnd The party is walking the streets of Sharn, seeing the sights, including the festival food — food on a stick, of course!!
  • #dnd There's a crowd gathering and a young boy yelling about a fighting contest about to begin. Beatdown and Brick are interested.
  • #dnd Beatdown and Brick are fighting against a half-orc and a very, very big human. Their party members are cheering them on!
  • #dnd Eru the bard sings "a song of lies" to try to intimidate their opponents. Jelly is using her keen perception to coach the fighters.
  • #dnd Victory after a 1–2 punch in the half-orc's teeth! Our brave fighter and warden earned themselves a healing potion each.
  • #dnd A college kid with a tricked-out painted lute gets up and starts singing the Ballad of Gingermittens. His friends are cheering so loud!
  • #dnd The college kids are loving this song about Gingermittens with the soft flowing mane and the taste for sentient flesh.
  • #dnd But the kid is forgetting his lyrics and finally the streetwise judge stands up and says, "Dawg… come back when you know your words."
  • #dnd Jelly is revving up the crowd (natural 20) about Eru, Cyd is creating special effects.…
  • #dnd Eru is telling the tale of the Arcane Academy, the ghosts, and diploming the Library.… the judges are rolling to see if they like it
  • #dnd Eru's player: "I activate my star power!"
  • #dnd Eru got kicked off. The female judge told him that he had a lot of heart and potential but he just needed to get to know himself.
  • #dnd But on the way back to his friends, an older gentleman slips Eru his card and invites him to come play at his club some time.
  • #dnd The party has gone to the Cornerstone arena to participate in the Ultimate Battles. They heard their "friends" *cough* from the OTHER
  • #dnd wizard school had a party that barely made it two fights in. They're determined to beat their record.
  • #dnd "Our first battle will be between our brave champions and the brute force of the orcs! Make your bets now!"
  • #dnd "Will it be the savages and raiders or this group with their fruity bard and slender, easily-snappable cleric?"
  • #dnd Beatdown Machine (@DaveTheGame): "That was at least half true!"
  • #dnd It's a very small arena and there are 3 large orcs and 3 medium ones. Only 5 PCs. They're a little freaked.
  • #dnd Oh noes! Our bard AND our wizard both struck out with their powers… will Jelly the cleric be able to draw first blood?
  • #dnd RT @DaveTheGame: No room for the squishy PCs to get away. Time for the defenders to go to work. #dnd http://twitpic.com/xv0lz
  • #dnd I have to say, the warden class is a real asskicker. :-) Brick is always kicking the crap out of things and knocking them down.
  • #dnd Since the singing contest, Eru is suffering from low self esteem (aka he's rolling like shit). "Well, I can heal you successfully…"
  • #dnd The PCs have killed the smaller orcs, but the big ones are still up and swingin'.… will they win?
  • #dnd The PCs are down to one big guy left… and our fighter and warden both roll single digits. Sheesh.
  • #dnd Double or nothing, folks! For our next battle, our champions are pitted against drow of the deepest jungles of Xen'drik!
  • #dnd RT @DaveTheGame: Round 2 are some Drow badasses. I have the feeling they're not here to change lightbulbs. http://twitpic.com/xv8f6
  • #dnd They've taken down one warrior so far and they think they're okay… too bad they don't know.… in round two.… MORE DROW!
  • #dnd Finally, Eru gets a crit. He's feeling a little better now :-)
  • #dnd holy crap — 2 crits in a row! Go Eru!
  • #dnd ROUND 2 defeated! The announcer is offering triple or nothing for the people who are betting on the fight. Can the PCs defeat round 3?
  • #dnd For the final round, everyone's worst nightmare – warrior devils from the pits of hell and the tortured souls that serve them!
  • #dnd Our wizard, Cyd, just took out 5 minions in one shot. He's been tearing up these battles. The crowd is loving it.
  • #dnd My dice are cursed! My devils haven't been able to hit anyone in 3 rounds!! WTF?
  • #dnd One devil left! The crowd is roaring. Beatdown winks at the crowd and draws back to smack him.… rawr!
  • #dnd Eru "talked" the last devil to death, but Beatdown is taking the credit. "Look at the way he bled out from his grievous wounds!"
  • #dnd Brick's PC just put on The Final Countdown on her laptop and is making her mini run laps around the arena.
  • #dnd The party was awarded loot, free dinners, and the adoration of the crowd. Eru is making a "carousing check" … oh lord.
  • And with that, the #dnd tweets are over. Dear lovely sister-in-law @srsbreakfast you can resume following me until next Tuesday.
